Templates

In this page you will find links to different templates for your course pages. The templates have been kept simple and are very easy to customize. When you select a template, a new window browser for that template will open.

  • Comments in the templates:

    In the source code of each template you will see that there are different comments about the HTML document. Your browser will not display these comments provided that they are written exactly as in the example below. Notice the difference in the opening and closing tag:

    <!--write here your comments-->

    Comments are useful to remind yourself how and when the code is constructed. Remember that whatever you write in the comments is visible to the user by accessing the View Source.

  • Saving the templates:

    After seeing the templates, you can return to this page and save them to your machine. If you are using a PC, right click on the template link and select the option "Save Link As". If you are working from a Macintosh, hold down the mouse on the link and select "Save Link As." If you want to keep the images, you have to save them to your machine as well: place the mouse over the image and repeat the above-mentioned procedure. You can also save the template page by going to its browser menu and choosing "File/Save As."

  • The templates:

Spanish 101. A web page with white background and black text. A decorative image at the top of the page.

FR 250: Studies of France. Although this web page is designed with tables, it is very easy to modify. Just change the text within the <TD></TD> tags.

German 350: Cultural Studies on Modern Germany. An advanced course with a minimalist design.
